I started forging steel over half my life ago. I care about doing a good job, and I hope that shows in my work. I will raise/donate an amount equal to half of my total profit from MMS in 2026.So essentially half my income will go charity this year.
a little about me and the mission
My name is Austin Mueller, I am God fearing family man from North Idaho. I believe that integrity is more important than income, politics are for politicians, and that quiche, while delicious, is spelled weird.
I Started getting serious about forging steel in 2009 in North Idaho. When I first saw a railroad spike that had been made into a knife, I had to have one. I couldn’t afford to buy one at the time, so I decided I would make one. That started me on a journey that would change the way I look at tools, art, and even the outdoors. Since that time I haven’t stopped honing my skills and gaining experience with different materials and techniques. I love to make things by hand, and it is truly a blessing to see the items I make be appreciated and used.
I have a large family, and so someone could always use a little help. For a time when I was growing up, that was my family. Because of that I feel a responsibility to use my God given abilities to give back and help those I can. To make it simple so we are all on the same page, simply and transparently, my wife and I decided that we would donate half of the profit I make to charity.
The first charity to receive 25% of my profit from 2026 is the Anna Schindler Foundation. They help families that have children who are receiving cancer treatment. It is an organization that I trust, and have worked with for years. I personally know people that have been helped by it and I know the pure intentions of the charity’s founders.
The second Charity that will get 25% of my profit from 2026 is Save the Storks. They help the most vulnerable and disadvantaged among us, unborn babies. I am choosing this particular charity, because they are highly rated for accountability and transparency.
I am very appreciative of all of you who have supported the fundraisers in the past. The thousands that have been raised for families fighting cancer, schools, mission trips, and so much more wouldn’t be possible without your support.
“But before all things have a constant mutual charity among yourselves: for charity covereth a multitude of sins.”
